Seeking Solace

I am not afraid of failure. What appalls me is not giving my best.
When I do my best, even the most humiliating of defeats seems to be but a lesson. When I don't, I know that even the most exalting victory is nothing more than a fluke.

As some wise man must have once said;

" It's not the destiny that matters after all. What persists is the road traversed. "

Someone said...It doesn't matter whether you win or not. It matters whether I win or not.

And, In victory or in defeat, no one remembers the path you took...it is the outcome that they will remember, and it is the outcome that will stick with you for life.

I think that one is always afraid of failure and seek solace when he losses even when the path followed is not right.. the probability of wining or losing frm any path in just half.. wat matters is evn if u loose n u had given ur best .. u r been paid at the end .. n wat really matters is just the road traversed .. n in future u have everything equalized.

@aj
Try to take "they", "no one" out of your thought stream for a moment. Maybe then my opinion will come out more clearly. Thanks for the comments anyway. A good counter-view but still, a little off-track.

@ anonymous
To a great extent, exactly the point I was trying to make. Do try to disclose your identity next time.

This reminds me of something I read in 10th class :)

"Compete yourself, you will never fell short of competitors"
